FAQS

How do I get to Physical Therapy?

1. Your doctor or dentist will give you a written prescription for physical therapy. You should use this prescription within 30 days. If it has been longer than 30 days you may have to go back to your doctor for reassessment.

2. Also, now, with direct access you can come directly to our facility and be evaluated by a physical therapist without a physician referral. We will then contact your doctor and arrange for further physical therapy and follow up care.

Can I select my own therapy provider?

Yes, you have the right to select where you would like to attend therapy. The choice is always yours as the patient.

How long will my appointments take?

The evaluation on your first visit will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including paperwork time and scheduling. Your follow up visits will take about an hour.

What do I need to bring for my appointments?

For your first visit, please bring your prescription for therapy, photo ID and your insurance card. You will need to make your copay at each appointment, so please be prepared for that. We accept MC, Visa, Discover, checks and cash.

Please wear loose fitting clothing so that your therapist can easily access your injured area.

Can I bring my children with me?

Children are not allowed in the treatment areas for safety reasons. We ask that you find someone to watch them while you are here in therapy.

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most major insurances, including Medicare, Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Sentara PPO, Tricare, Workers Compensation, First Health Network/Mailhandlers, PHCS, VHN/Humana. Please call to see if we accept your insurance if you do not see your insurance listed. We are constantly updating our insurance providers to better serve you.
